♥ = Mommy
I have a shirt that says:
I ♥ Mommy
So I equate ♥ with Mommy now. Whenever I see ♥s I point and say “Mommy!”
A Quick Update!
Since Daddy hasn’t been so good at posting updates (he said a new semester started or something), I will have to do a quick summary:
- I’m walking more stably now. I can pick up the pace and almost run. That makes it really fun for Mommy, Daddy and Grandma.
- My vocabulary is increasing: I can say “door,” “whoa!” ”na-na” (for banana) and a bunch of other things.
- Mommy and Daddy stopped moving me into their bed at night when I cry. I don’t like the change.
- I can read some things, like “nose,” “eyes,” “cats,” “dogs,” “look up,” ”arms up,” and a bunch more, thanks to Your Baby Can Read! program that I got from Aunt Diana and Uncle Wooshik!
I can communicate!
Well, I could always communicate—by screaming, crying, laughing, etc. But now I’ve started to sign. It clicked in my brain sometime last week, when I started asking for “more.” I can also say “drink” when I want a drink of water/milk, and say “bath” when it’s my bath time! I’ve only used “more” when I wanted more food. But now I can say “more” when I want Mommy and Aunt Jaime to toss me back and forth more in the pool. Or when I want to hear the “Itsy bitsy spider” song again.
Mommy gives credit to Daddy for this, who worked consistently on teaching me some basic signs! Here’s the book he used.
